When we look at tech skills it is usually from the perspective of what is in demand or what will be needed in the future.
The attached Global Knowledge Special Report by instructor Brett Hanson entitled "Tech Skills Becoming T-Rex" is worth reading because it looks at the skills the writer feels will become extinct like the dinosaur.
Some of the skills that Brett forecasts for extinction include:
Windows XP/Windows Server 2003 and earlier; PC Repair Technicians; FORTRAN and COBOL; Traditional Telephony; On Premises Server Management Skills; Complacent Database Administration Management Professionals; Network Administrator without SDN; Adobe Flash and Microsoft Silverlight.
